Happy Thursday! We’re back with another Real Bride story, and today we’re catching up with Aly to learn about her special day! Aly married her husband, Chance, at The Ridge. The Ridge is a new modern, industrial venue with just a hint of rustic that sits on 20 acres surrounded by trees and breath-taking views of the Missouri River bottoms. It’s located in Richmond, Missouri – just 45 minutes from Kansas City.

“We got extremely lucky with amazing weather for the end of October in the midwest. The only hiccup was when the wind picked up a second before I was supposed to walk down the aisle and my veil flew off into the woods! My coordinator was trying to run after it as I laughed and proceeded down the aisle without it.”

It’s clear that Aly was so excited to marry her sweetheart, that nothing was stopping her from getting down that aisle – veil or not! What a fun memory!

Speaking of, Aly met her husband, Chance at a bar in Lawrence, KS. Their friend was planning to set them up, but “by the time he turned around with beers in his hand we had already fallen for each other.  We got engaged on our five year anniversary on our small farm and got married on our 6 year anniversary.”

Aly’s Dress

Aly wore a beautiful crepe, fitted gown designed by Miss Scarlet. Her dress had a unique square neckline, which added the perfect modern twist to her look!

Not only does the gown have a unique square neckline, but also a square backline! This adds the perfect balance from back to front to bring the look together.

Aly said she fell in love with the gown the first time she saw it, and couldn’t get it out of her head! Rightfully so, I mean look at it on her! When we asked Aly about her dress shopping experience, she mentioned that to accommodate a quick timeline, “the amazing owner Angela let me purchase the gown off the rack.  The staff was absolutely amazing in not pushing the purchase but waiting for me to be ready.”

We want to congratulate Aly and her husband, Chance, on their forever! It looked like it was a beautiful day, and we’re so happy we got to be a part of Aly finding her frock!
