October is flying by, and we are loving meeting all of our brides! We love hearing about all of our brides’ wedding plans during the appointments. With that in mind, we’re excited to share details from our bride Adele’s dreamy summer wedding!

Adele and Billy were married at the end of June. She shared that they started their morning by getting coffee together before the festivities began — how sweet!!

The Details

They hosted their ceremony at Brentwood Baptist Church and had their reception at Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood. John Myers Photography photographed the day, and Liz Fisher was the florist.

The Dress!

Coming into her appointment, Adele knew she was looking for a simplistic and classic gown.

Adele had not tried on gowns before and found Fabulous Frocks through our consultant Rachel, who she went to college with!

“My dress was the first one I tried on,” Adele shared. “I loved it. I loved that it had flutter sleeves!” Adele was looking for something that made her feel beautiful and comfortable in. “I didn’t want to worry about anything going wrong or drawing too much attention to the wrong places.”

With that in mind, Adele said yes to a charmeuse Jenny Yoo gown featuring flutter sleeves and a low back. “It had form yet wasn’t tight.” Additionally, she wore a beautiful floor length Sara Gabriel gown that seamlessly melted into the gown’s train.

Adele’s bridesmaids wore beautiful blue floor length dresses with various necklines. Meanwhile, the groomsmen wore navy suits.

A Romantic Reception at Ravenswood

The reception was at Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood. “Our reception was under a beautiful tent with string lights,” Adele shared. Martins Bar-B-Que catered the meal, and Triple Crown Bakery provided desserts.

When reflecting on the wedding, Adele shared that her favorite part of the day was spending time on the dance floor. “We all danced so much. Everyone was very into it.”

Adele and Billy honeymooned in Punta Cana. Billy planned the trip and surprised Adele with the destination! “It was beautiful and so fun to meet other couples on their honeymoon!”

Advice to future brides

Adele shared how important having gown inspiration was for her dress shopping process. “Have an idea of what you want before you get there,” she said. “Let your voice be the only one deciding what you want, especially if you have other people with you that have strong opinions.”
