Hi Brides! We love hearing all of the details about your big day when you’re in the boutique! With that in mind, we adore getting your photos and hearing all about how the day went! Today we’re sharing details of Fab Frocks Bride Morgan’s beautiful wedding!
“Our wedding was very special!” Morgan shared. “We got married in Sedona, AZ with an intimate group of close family.” The wedding was held at The Chapel of the Holy Cross, with stunning red rock as the backdrop!
Later that week, Morgan and Will hosted a large reception in Nashville at Saint Elle! At the Nashville event, the couple shared handwritten vows. Additionally, they lit a unity candle for everyone who was not able to attend the Arizona ceremony.
Krisy Thomas of Southern Sparkle Weddings was the wedding planner, while Southern Sparkle Florals provided the floral arrangements. Meanwhile, Staci of Lady Bach Photography photographed the day, while Brad from Snyder Entertainment was the DJ.
“My favorite part of our wedding was reading our vows,” Morgan shared. “I loved writing personal vows and sharing them with my husband, as well as everyone who attended! We hope they will hold us accountable in our vows throughout our marriage!”
For food, Morgan and Will had local restaurants Mojos Taco and Outlanders Southern Chicken cater the event! “We even had a Snoball truck (Tchoupitoulas Street Snoballs) to honor my Cajun heritage,” she shared.
The reception ended with plenty of dancing, as well as singing to “Rocky Top.” “This was right on brand for Will and I,” Morgan said.
Morgan came to Fabulous Frocks with her mom and brother. Her mom often gets her nails done in the same plaza as the boutique, and frequently sent Morgan photos of gowns in the boutique window!
Coming into her appointment, Morgan initially envisioned a minimalistic satin fit to flare gown. Satin buttons down the train were a must-have. However, when she began trying on gowns, her vision slightly changed.
“Every completely plain dress I tried on was just not cutting it for my over the top personality!” she said.
“With the help of Rachel, I stepped out of my comfort zone and I tried on an Essense of Australia fit to flare with lace detailing up top and down the back of the train,” Morgan recalled. The gown was the one! As soon as Morgan put it on, she knew that she loved it. It still gave her the sleek and fitted look that she was going for, but with a pop of detail, and, of course, her satin buttons.
Finally, to complete the look, she added a cathedral length pearl veil and an organza bow on the back.
“It was an off the rack dress and needed minor alterations,” she said. “Fabulous Frocks even recommended the best alterations woman who made me feel at ease with the process of making sure my dress fit exactly how I wanted. Debbie is a true rockstar, just like Rachel!”
When sharing her best piece of advice for future brides, Morgan said to cherish every moment. “It’s so cheesy, but seriously, that year of planning went by in a flash. The wedding week and day went by even faster! Do not take any moment for granted, because soon you will be a wife (which is literally so awesome and joyful) looking back on the best day of your life!”
Morgan and Will honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico! “It was amazing to just relax and explore a new place we both had never been,” she shared. Will surprised Morgan with an extra day of honeymooning! They visited Waco, Texas to see the Silos at Magnolia. “I was absolutely shocked and loved every minute of it,” she said.
When reflecting back on her wedding, Morgan shared that her favorite part of the day was spending time with her bridesmaids. “It was awesome because they come from such different times in my life. They each knew a different me from the past, and all got to know each other and spend time together!”
In addition, she shared that the ceremony included a sweet moment with her mom, as Morgan asked her mom to walk her down the aisle. “She has always been my rock and I knew it had to be this way from the moment wedding planning began!”
Morgan’s mom walked her down the aisle at both the Sedona ceremony and the Nashville ceremony. Additionally, at the Nashville ceremony, Morgan surprised her mom with her favorite song — “I and Love and You” by the Avett Brothers Band — as they walked down the aisle together.
We were so happy to be a part of Morgan’s special day, and wish her and Will the absolute best! Congratulations to the happy couple!
