Exactly FIVE years to the day, Fabulous Frocks owner, Jacqui, said “I Do”. Having never featured her own wedding, we thought it would be so fun to take a trip down memory lane and take a look back at her and Jonathan’s perfect Fall Brunch Wedding!

The Wedding

The couple tied the knot on October 21, 2017 at Fairfield Manor Bed and Breakfast, a quaint venue located right here in Shreveport. The venue is an old Manor that has the perfect mixture of elegance and charm that Jacqui and Jonathan love.

The ceremony took place at 10:30am on the front lawn with the Manor’s secret garden as the backdrop. The celebration continued on inside and on both patios where brunch was served. Guests sipped on Bloody Mary’s, and Mimosa’s while a traditional Jazz band played. From the non-traditional cocktail hour of coffee and donuts to the lush florals, every detail was simply stunning and we can’t get enough!

The Big “Yes”

We typically talk about a brides appointment but since Jacqui is the owner and at the time, the only stylist, she didn’t have a traditional appointment. Brides often ask her about her gown and how she decided, so we thought we would share her “yes” moment! Being around so many beautiful gowns, Jacqui really didn’t have a style in mind. That was until a beautiful Nicole Miller gown arrived in her Ready-to-Wed selection.

When she unpacked the gown, she showed it to her mom that was helping at the boutique that day. Her mom suggested she slip it on and Jacqui quickly said no because at the time, she wasn’t officially engaged. Knowing that Jacqui soon would be, later that evening, her mom texted her saying she was heading back up to the boutique and wanted her to meet her there to try the gown on. Jacqui did as she was told and as soon as she slipped the gown on, she knew it was the one. With the gown tucked safely away, a few weeks later, Jonathan proposed with the ring they co-designed and she was officially engaged!

The Dress

Jules by Nicole Miller is an Antique White crepe mermaid cut gown. She features illusion beading on the v-neck and illusion beading on it’s deep v-back. Jacqui finished her wedding day look with Phoebe, a beautiful 2 layer horsehair trimmed Cathedral length veil, stunning Opal and Crystal earrings and a Crystal hair clip all by Sara Gabriel.
