Finding your dress is super exciting, and it can be tempting to bring lots of people with you! However, we suggest you limit who you bring to your closest family and friends. Too many opinions can make the process confusing and overwhelming, rather than fun and easy. Plus, then you get to surprise more people on the big day with what you chose!

Use Social Media for Inspiration

Sites like Pinterest are perfect for putting together your vision! Before your appointments, scroll through Pinterest or Instagram to see what styles stick out to you the most. This will help your consultant know what to pull for you, and it will make narrowing down choices a lot easier!

Decide your Budget

Decide your budget before you start shopping. This will help you, your group, and your consultant all be on the same page about where you want to stay price-wise, as well as help your stylist know what styles to pull. It can be very tempting to try on a gown for fun that is over budget, but it’s always a bummer when you fall in love with it and it is not in the price point.

Keep an Open Mind!

Having some type of idea of what you are looking for definitely helps in your appointment, but be willing to try different styles, as well! You never know – the wild card could be the one!

Trust Your Consultant

Your stylist is on your side, and wants to help you find your dream dress! Trust them as they lead the appointment, suggest gowns to you, and help you make your decision.

Don’t Overshop

It can be super fun to go to every store in town, but it can also get very overwhelming! Most brides find their dress in the first two stores they visit, and going to more than that can make it very confusing.

Eliminate as You Go

Getting to the end of the appointment with every dress as a favorite can make it super hard to make your decision. Our best advice is to eliminate gowns as you go. Do you like it as much as the previous dress? It’s much easier to get to the end of your appointment with one favorite, and it can make you confident in your decision, knowing that you have compared everything else to it.

We love to complete the look with accessories at the end of the appointment! Whether you’re a fan of veils, a bow, or a belt, be willing to try these add-ons to see what elevates the look.
