Happy Friday, brides! We love hearing about all your planning details, and that includes the reception activities! One of our favorite parts of a reception is the guest book! This is a great opportunity to be creative, and we’ve got some great ideas on how to add some fun to your guestbook!
Some of our brides have chosen to have audio guestbooks, rather than a traditional book! Companies such as After the Tone allow your guests to leave you a voice message wishing you well, and we think this is such a special keepsake! Not only do you get nice messages from loved ones, but you can hear their voices for years to come!
Meanwhile, other couples choose to incorporate guest messages onto pieces that they’ll use in their homes for years to come! Our consultant Cyndal had her guests sign customized corn hole boards. The boards will be great for hosting get togethers with friends throughout their marriage, while simultaneously displaying best wishes from their wedding guests!
Another option for a creative and personalized guestbook is to use something that has been important in your relationship! Our consultant Rachel met her husband talking about baseball, which is something they continue to bond over. Therefore, they tied this special part of their relationship into their big day by having their guests sign a personalized baseball bat and home plate. Not only did it create a unique keepsake from their wedding day, but it also payed homage to how they met!
Another creative way to have guests leave well wishes is on Jenga pieces! This way, you can use the pieces to play a game and look back at the messages, or arrange them as a framed keepsake!
Whatever you choose to do, the options are endless for guestbooks! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
