New York Bridal Fashion Week Recap

Lace, embellishments, and tulle OH MY! This last week was our favorite week of the year- New York Bridal Fashion Week! Countless designers from all over the world come to The Big Apple to showcase their newest creations. Every year we are left speechless by the beauty that graces the runway – this year was no different. We can not wait to bring some of NYC to our Nashville brides! Here is a little snapshot of some of the hottest trends for Spring and Fall 2018 from our made-to-order designers.

#1 – Clean Cut & Minimal

Wtoo, by Watters, always knows how to make our heart skip a beat. This gorgeous gown is the epitome of classic bridal for the 21st century. The natural waistline highlights the narrowest part of a woman’s figure and who wouldn’t love that?! The simplicity of this gown allows the bride to really transform it into their own look. Whether it is adding a gorgeous statement accessory, or just a simple pair of studs, you can not go wrong with understated elegance.

#2 – The Plunge

Want to know the easiest way to look long and lean? A deep-v will really open up your face and give the illusion that you are taller than you actually are. Tara Keely strikes again with this fit-to-flare gown with the plunging neckline. Cinching in the waist at the bottom and the fit-to-flare silhouette of the plunge only adds to the drama of this little number- love it!

#3 – Shades of Blush and Nude

Over the last several years we have seen the ‘white wedding dress’ transform into so many different shades. Theia shows us how taking a little blush tulle under a couple layers of ivory tulle can truly make a statement. The blush undertone in the skirt pairs beautifully with the delicate lace on the top to create a stunning look.

#4 – Peek-A-Boo Lace

We have always loved Mikaella’s lace on their gowns and this year they have really stepped it up with the peek-a-boo panel around the waist. This is great for the bride that loves the look of a two-piece wedding dress, but wants the comfort of just one piece. Mikaella tied in the lace around the waist to the top by incorporating the feminine touch of a lace cap sleeve.

#5 – The Flutter Sleeve

Talk about soft and delicate! This Ti Adora a-line gown with flutter sleeves is sure to make all of your guests swoon. Whether your venue is at the edge of a forest, in a barn, or in an industrial space, these dainty straps add the extra touch of etherial allure.

We’d love to have you in to try on any of these styles of bridal gowns, plus so many more at our boutique today! Call us at 615.224.3472 to schedule your private appointment with one of our stylists. We can’t wait to help you find your frock!
