Happy Friday, everyone! We are so excited to share another love story with you! Our real bride, Renee, was married last year to her husband, Marcus! Although they initially met while she was interviewing for an internship in college, they reconnected two years later on the dating app, Hinge! Renee and Marcus share so many special memories together, but one of her favorite memories is anytime they’re getting ready to go to an event and she is getting ready, Marcus always blares music and tries to distract her while dancing around their apartment! Marcus and Renee have a fun and loving relationship and we can’t wait to share more about their wedding!

Renee’s Wedding

Renee and Marcus tied the knot at The Empire Room in Omaha, Nebraska on October 3rd, 2020! Although COVID threw a wrench in their original wedding plans, they still had a special day celebrating with their friends and family! “We wanted a day focused on love, not just the love we have between each other, but the love our guests have for the people around them. COVID made it hard to have all our important people present, but we wanted the day to rise above the restrictions and just be a day to relax, celebrate, love, and have fun!” 

We asked Renee about her favorite memory from her wedding day, “My favorite memory of our day was looking around the room with my now-husband next to me and seeing all our favorite people in the world under one roof together celebrating and sharing in the same company!”

Renee’s Dress

Renee wore a stunning silk/satin Theia gown. Her gown was a classic fit-to-flare gown with buttons down the train and a custom cowl back! We asked Renee how she knew she found her dream dress, “I knew when I began the dress hunt that I wanted simple, classic, and sexy. I also was dead set on finding a dress that had a draping cowl and an open back. It took me a while to discover that the material I was searching for was the silky satin, but as soon as Addie got me into my dress I knew no other one would compare. Both Addie and Angela were so helpful in creating the dress of my dreams to come to life!”

“Think about the main things that you want your guests and you and your future husband to remember when they think back on your wedding day and focus every decision on creating those memories!”

Special Memories from Our Real Bride

“Due to COVID restrictions, we could not have my Dad’s mom at the wedding. So we took our party bus out to her rehabilitation home and got off the bus to wave to her! She was so happy and I couldn’t imagine my day without her there, so it made my day too.”
