Happy Friday, brides! We recently caught up with our real bride, Sarah! Sarah’s wedding was stunning and her dress looked like it was made for you! Sarah married her husband, Sam, in an elegant and timeless wedding! Sarah and Sam have one of our favorite stories of how they met!

“I met his parents first randomly at the Plaza Beauty Brands (the liter sale was going on, I couldn’t miss it). I was wearing an Oklahoma State shirt and they spotted me and asked if I went to OSU. We got to talking and they told me about their son, Sam. I had never met Sam at OSU but I got his name and of course looked him up on Facebook. After seeing we had mutual friends, I reached out to one of them and he set up a time for Sam and I to meet. After a few missed attempts we eventually set up the happy hour we met at. The rest is history, Sam and I met for the first time at the Well in Waldo with friends and we have been together ever since!”

Sarah’s Wedding:

Sarah and Sam tied the knot on August 9th, 2019 at Magnolia Venue and Urban Garden! They had a timeless and elegant wedding with their own personal touches! Sarah explained some of her favorite memories from the big day, “I have two favorite memories from our wedding day. The first was when Sam and I saw each other for the first time. I didn’t think I would cry but the moment I saw him I bawled like a baby! My second favorite moment is when our college mascot, Pistol Pete, surprised us during the fight song! We had no idea that he would be there and it was seriously one of the most epic moments.”

Sarah’s Dress:

Sarah wore a fitted crepe Mikaella gown with full length sleeves, buttons down the train, and a satin sash! We asked Sarah how she knew she found her dream dress, “I walked into the appointment and I said “look, I love the royal family – Kate Middleton and Meghan Markel.” Then I was told there was a “Meghan Markel dress,” I had to try it on. It was the first dress I tried on and I felt like an absolute princess. Any dress after that could not live up to the beauty of the first dress!”

Real Bride Sarah’s Advice for Future Brides:

“My advice is to focus on the marriage and less on the wedding. Your wedding is one beautiful day but your marriage is the rest of your life. Invest in your love and your marriage. My second piece of advice is to think of your wedding as a party you are throwing to celebrate your love. Don’t worry about the stuff you “have” to do at weddings. You don’t have to do anything. It’s you and your fiancé’s day and you can make it however you want!”
