Happy New Year! We are so excited to see all of the stunning weddings to come this year! With that in mind, we are SO excited to share the details of Fab Frocks Bride Bailey’s stunning romantic vintage wedding!
Bailey and Austin were married at The Cordelle in Nashville in November. Jiana Taylor photographed the day. “She was so professional and understood our vision,” Bailey said. “Our wedding vendors were amazing and really made our day special.
Bailey described the wedding aesthetic as “romantic vintage with modern touches.”
“I would joke and say that the vision was Phantom of the Opera mixed with Pride and Prejudice, but that really was kind of the aesthetic,” she said. Candles were the focus of the day rather than flowers, matching the romantic vintage vibe.
The couple chose not to do a first look, so the first time that Austin saw Bailey was as she walked down the aisle, which he shared was his favorite part of the romantic day.
“My favorite part was right after the ceremony walking out with Austin,” Bailey shared. “All of the emotions overwhelmed us and we just stood there crying and in awe of each other.”
Bailey came to Fabulous Frocks in February. “I scheduled an appointment with another boutique, but I mistakenly scheduled it on the wrong day,” she shared, “My maid of honor found Fabulous Frocks and we decided to go there!”
Bailey came to the boutique in search of a sleek long sleeved gown, and originally thought she wanted an A-line. “I wanted something that I could dance in and felt comfortable wearing.”
“I saw my wedding dress in the window and and asked for Rachel to pull it for me,” she recalled. “She pulled some beautiful dresses but saved the one in the window for last.”
Tears were shed when Bailey walked out in the Chic Nostalgia gown, and the entourage Facetimed Bailey’s sister to see the dress.
“I knew it was my dress, but when I wore a veil and held the bouquet, I KNEW.”
Bailey said yes to Alia by Chic Nostalgia for her romantic vintage wedding. The crepe fit to flare featured a square neckline and long sleeves, complete with ruffles at the cuff. Additionally, a bow adorned the open back. She paired the dress with a long, simplistic veil that melted into the back of the gown.
Bailey advises future brides to cherish each moment of the wedding day. “I would also say not to get bogged down with trends, Pinterest, Tik Tok, or just people’s opinions,” she said. “Choose things that you and your partner want and that represent you two.”
Diane Thurmond catered the reception. “She made a fully vegan dining experience which was amazing,” Bailey raved. “The catering staff made sure that we are a full plate of appetizers, dinner, and our cake.”
The reception included a photo booth, provided by Dylan Estes. Guests were then able to take a Polaroid from the photo booth home with them!
Madi Ragsdale created the cake, which was tea themed! Each layer of the cake was a different tea flavor!
The Cordelle’s bar staff provided signature cocktails, which were also tea themed for the romantic vintage wedding.
Other details of the reception included a phone guestbook, where guests could leave voice messages for the couple! Additionally, the seating chart was a champagne wall, created by Jack Oldham, and the festivities continued with a cereal bar for late night snacks.
The couple will be honeymooning in Budapest over the summer, somewhere that Bailey has always wanted to visit.
Congratulations, Bailey! We’re so happy to have been a part of your day!
