Real Bride: Casey’s October Elopement

May 24, 2024

Hi brides! One of the best parts of our job is getting to see your wedding vision come together! We love hearing all about your special day! Today we are featuring our Fab Frocks Bride Casey and sharing all of the details of her stunning October elopement!

The Details

“I am the bride who eloped!” Casey exclaimed. “But still had the dream wedding any girl would have wished for.”

Casey and her husband were married at The Gray Dove in Ooltewah, Tennessee in October!

“Even though we planned something small, I still wanted personalized touches to our day that were unique,” she said.

With that in mind, the couple chose to have a pianist and violinist from Susie Shortt Music play the music for the October elopement ceremony. “My song walking down the aisle – every girls dream – was “Turning Page” from the Twilight movie,” she said.

Additionally, instead of cake, the couple had their favorite dessert — macarons! Room For Dessert, a local bakery, provided the sweets.

Casey shared that she really wanted a local feel when it came to the vendors for the October elopement.

The Katie Marie Photos photographed the day. “She spent so much time with us to make sure we received our dream photos at the venue, and in downtown Chattanooga,” Casey shared.

Meanwhile, Anthony Cespedes with Rocky Top Weddings officiated the ceremony. “He spent a lot of time with us to make sure everything was what we wanted,” Casey said.

“And last but not the least – my flowers!!” Casey said, recalling her vendors. “We decided to use Valley Flowers in Ooltewah and they made the most beautiful wildflower mix bouquet of my dreams!”

The bride described the intimate October wedding as romantic, whimsical, and enchanting.

The Dress

Casey came to Fabulous Frocks last June. She had scrolled on Pinterest to get ideas of what she might want in a dress. “I knew first hand, I loved lace, sleeves, and anything flowy!”

Fabulous Frocks was the first place that Casey visited in her dress shopping journey. “A couple weeks prior, I was on their Instagram and noticed some dresses that caught my eye,” she continued. “I also had examples of some gowns to show the wonderful stylist who was helping me during my appointment.”

Although Casey found all of the gowns she tried on to be beautiful, a dreamy A-line that she had seen on Instagram was the one that really caught her eye.

“It was the third dress I tried on, and WITHOUT even looking in the mirror I instantly knew it was the one,” she recalled.

Casey said yes to Ayla by Chic Nostalgia. The whimsical A-line gown featured off the shoulder bishop sleeves, layers of tulle, and scattered floral lace and perfectly aligned with Casey’s October elopement vision.

Advice for Brides

Casey advises brides-to-be to live in the moment on their big day! “I am so happy with how our day turned out,” she said. “I truly think it is because I had very little to look after, which gave me relief in enjoying our day.”

Casey continued by saying that the day was perfect for her and her husband and is certainly a day they will always remember.

“One more thing,” she added in regards to advice, “Do one thing that will bring you back to your wedding day. I decided to preserve my flowers in a beautiful frame that I hung on our wall. I love being able to see such a special part of my day, everyday.”

The Wedding

The bride shared that her favorite part of the October elopement was getting to spend time with her husband. The couple have been together for seven years! “It was wonderful to be able to spend a couple days away with each other, explore Chattanooga, and spend quality time,” she recalled.

Three months after the October elopement, the couple honeymooned to Mexico! “We spent a week away on a cruise ship to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo! It was a beautiful week to get away, spend time together as newlyweds and explore new places!” she said.

We loved being a part of Casey’s special day! Congratulations to the happy couple!
