Real Bride: Nina’s Joyous Spring Wedding

We love hearing all the special details about our brides’ special day! Today we are sharing all the details about our Fab Frocks Bride Nina’s joyous spring wedding!
The Details
The joyous wedding took place at Cascata Springs in Lewisburg, TN. Nina described the space as being “a stunning venue featuring a beautiful house, a lake, gorgeous trees, and a waterfall.” Nina was thrilled with the work of all their vendors. “They truly exceeded our expectations!” she added.
One special moment from the day was that the ceremony was officiated by the bride’s grandfather. She described the day as being “intimate, joyous, and fun”!
The entire day was captured by Matt Umland, who shot the couples engagement photos as well!
The Dress
Nina came into the boutique in September of 2023. “I was on the hunt for a wedding dress that really felt like ‘me’,” she shared. She recalled that she wanted something with pretty lace details, a beautiful train, and a stunning veil, but the most important thing to her was that she felt comfortable and beautiful!
Fun fact about Nina’s dress: it was the first one she tried on! Nina reflects on the moment, “At first, I was hesitant to choose the very first one, but after trying on a few others, I kept comparing them to that first dress. That’s when I knew—it was the one!”
Advice for Brides
Nina reminds future brides to remember that even though the day can be stressful, it’s all about you and your future spouse! She reflects on her time wedding planning and shares that they started tackling wedding planning early and used an Excel sheet to keep themselves organized.
“Even with all the planning, make sure to take breaks and enjoy quality time with your partner. Don’t let stress overshadow the joy of getting married, and don’t be shy about asking friends and family for help—delegating tasks can really ease the pressure and make the whole process more enjoyable.”
The Wedding
When asked about her favorite part of the wedding the bride shares that even though she has so many favorite moments, the dancing is definitely at the top!
“My husband’s family is from Alabama, so seeing them two step was so special! My dad and my uncle also used to be professional break dancers and I loved seeing them break dance on the dance floor! I also loved my husband and I’s first dance and dancing with our family and friends.”
Tommy Cobb was the couples DJ for the night, and played a part in some of the bride’s favorite moments.
Additional Details
Nina shares that this wedding was actually the couple’s second celebration! “We got officially married in October 2023 and bought a house that same month. We figured, why not get married, move in together, and still have our big celebration in April?” Nina shared. She explains that when they got married in October it was just herself, her husband, the officiant, and the photographer.
Exactly 6 months later the couple was able to celebrate again with their friends and family!
“It was a day filled with peace, happiness, and celebration!” Nina shares.
