Real Bride: Savanna’s Romantic Spring Wedding

July 10, 2024

Hi Brides! We love catching up with our sweet Fab Frocks Brides and hearing all about the wedding day. Today we are so excited to share the details of Fab Frocks Bride Savanna’s romantic spring wedding!

The Details

Savanna’s romantic spring wedding took place at Cactus Creek Barn in Dickson, TN.

“Most of our vendors were family friends,” Savanna shared. Cano’s in Fairview catered the meal, and Bill Roop Photography photographed the day. Meanwhile, Katrina Merryman, owner of Sweet Honeysuckle Home Bakery, was “the lovely lady who made our beautiful cake,” Savanna said. All of these vendors were family friends of the couple, which was really special to the bride and groom. “Having all these people we know and love make our wedding so fantastic made it feel just that much more intimate,” said the bride.

The bridesmaids wore light blue satin gowns, while the groomsmen wore light gray suits.

Savanna described the spring wedding as intimate, timeless, and romantic.

The Dress

Savanna came to the boutique last summer with her mom and friends.

“Initially when looking for a wedding dress, I was searching for a dress that was romantic and floral, which is exactly what I found at Fabulous Frocks,” she recalled. “Rachel, the wonderful lady that helped me at the Franklin location of Fabulous Frocks, already had picked out several dresses fitting that theme before I arrived at the store!”

Savanna tried a variety of romantic A-line gowns, and then asked to see one with off the shoulder straps. From there, her consultant, Rachel, pulled a floral lace A-line by Lillian West. The gown featured a scoop neckline and flutter off the shoulder sleeves.

“When I did find ‘the one,’ Rachel even helped me see ways I could alter the dress to make it more my own!” Savanna explained. The bride was hesitant about the thick flutter straps that the gown originally had, so Rachel had her tuck those in and try a softer tulle strap from Sara Gabriel with the gown instead. That completely changed the dress for Savanna, and brought her to tears.

The bride said yes to the Lillian West gown and the dainty off the shoulder straps from Sara Gabriel. She paired the look with a fingertip veil featuring a pencil edge, also from Sara Gabriel.

The Wedding

Savanna advises future brides to not stress about small details on the wedding day. “Assign a friend or family member to do this for you so you can enjoy your special day!” she said.

The bride’s favorite part of the wedding day was the first look with my groom before walking down the aisle. “It calmed my nerves and it’s a special moment we will always cherish, shared just between the two of us,” she said.

The couple honeymooned on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Cozumel and Coco Cay. “We had a blast!” she said.

We loved helping sweet Savanna find her dress and were honored to be a part of her special day! Congratulations to the happy couple!
