A first look is something a lot of brides have been considering so we figured we would explain what exactly a first look is and show you some of our favorite first look photos!

What is a “First Look”?

A first look is a relatively new wedding tradition! It’s typically a semi-private meeting of the bride and groom before the ceremony. This allows them to have an intimate moment of seeing each other for the first time before they meet each other at the alter. Typically this is an emotional moment and more recently has been included in your typical wedding photos! If doing a first look with your fiancé is not your cup of tea, a lot of brides have been doing a first look with their father, their bridal party or even playing a prank on your fiancé during your first look!

Another great option is doing a first look with your bridal party! Your bridal party is made up of some of your biggest support systems so they more than always have some of the best reactions to seeing you as a bride for the first time!
