Hi Brides! We hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weather! Many brides have become Fab Frocks brides this month! Once a bride finds her frock, the next step is to match a perfect veil to the perfect gown! There are an endless amount of possibilities for veils and we love getting creative with our brides!

Veils are a versatile bridal accessory that can complete a bride’s vision of how she imagined she would look on her wedding day! All of the veils at Fabulous Frocks of Kansas City are completely customizable. We love being creative with our brides to help their vision come to life!

 

Veils: Types of Tulle

There are several types of tulle our veils are made of including classic tulle, signature tulle, and ballet tulle. The main difference between each type of tulle is the amount of silk that is made in the tulle. Less silk in the tulle creates more structure in the veil, while more silky tulle creates a softer look. A benefit of a veil with more structure is that it allows for the back of the dress to show through the veil! Of course a benefit of a more silky tulle is the soft look it creates.

 

 

Veil Lengths:

There are also different lengths of veils including fingertip length, floor length, and cathedral length. Due to our love of customizations, we measure to the inch where the bride wants her veil to end! We love long veils because they are so amazing for dramatic pictures! Shorter veils are great for brides that want to show off the beautiful back of their dress!

 

Veil Embellishments:

Veil embellishments are a great way for brides to tie in the veil with details in their dress! Embellishments could include lace, Swarovski crystals, pearls, and various trims. While working with a bride to help her bridal vision come to life, we often help them be creative while choosing the right veil embellishments! For example, the gown shown below has pearl buttons along the illusion back. A veil with pearls scattered throughout or along the trim would bring out the pearl details in the back of the dress! Small details like this bring the whole look together!
