Hi Brides! The fall wedding season has come to a close, and many of our brides are reflecting on their dreamy day! This includes our bride Haley, who shared some of her favorite details with us!

Tell us about the wedding!

“We were very fortunate with our wedding to have so much help from family and friends!” Haley shared. The wedding was at Wind Song Farm in Burns, TN. By the Clarks photographed the day, and family and friends contributed the catering, cake, and flowers.

“It really made the day special, as even setting up was shared with people we knew well and wanted to spend the day with,” she said.

What were you looking for in a dress?

“I don’t like to shop or wear dresses very much, so I went in looking for only three things in a dress: pockets, simplicity, and buttons down the back.” Haley and her mom researched designers before the appointment, and she knew that she wanted something with buttons.

“Outside of that, I really didn’t have a clue what I was going to end up with or if I would change my mind once I got in there.”

Haley said yes to an A-line by Moonlight Bridal. It featured a lace top with an illusion button back, a mikado skirt, and, of course, pockets!

Tell us about your shopping experience!

“Finding my dress was an adventure,” she said. Haley came to Fabulous Frocks with her mom, mother-in-law, and my 9 year old sister.

“I tried on a few dresses, and with each one my little sister had something wonderful or hysterical to say. Having her there experiencing it with me and making me laugh was something I will never forget and I hope to do for her one day.”

Haley also shared that when she put on the dress, she knew it was the one!

“When I did eventually try on the dress I ended up with, I knew immediately it was the one I wanted. It had everything that I was looking for: pockets, simplicity, and buttons down the back. I tried on a few after it, but the entire time I knew that was the dress I wanted.”

What advice do you have for future brides?

“Try to make it as stress free as possible! I know it can be hard to give up control on things, but we went in knowing the day was going to be what it was and no matter what, we found the joy in it.”

Haley and Benjamin’s wedding ceremony was planned to be outdoors, but a rainy day prohibited that.

“We did everything we had to in order to get it moved inside, and even though it wasn’t what we had planned on, we made the best of it and absolutely loved it.”

What was your favorite part of the wedding?

“Of course getting married was wonderful and absolutely my favorite part,” she said. “Outside of that, spending the day with all of our friends and family in one place together was the most incredible part.”

Haley and Benjamin are avid video gamers, and many of their gaming friends traveled to Tennessee for the wedding. Friends also traveled from Canada and multiple states.

“It was so much fun getting to share this important day with them, and I will never forget it.”
