Behind the Veil: Madison’s Elegant October Wedding

November 17, 2023

Hi Brides! We are SO excited to share the details of Fab Frocks Bride Madison’s beautiful October wedding! Madison found her dress with us last summer, and we are obsessed with how her big day all came together!

The Details

Madison and Jonathan were married at the White Dove Barn in late October. “They were so helpful in setting up on the day of and helping us find good vendors,” Madison shared.

Madison and Jonathan went with a classic and elegant theme, with gold and white as their colors. The men wore black tuxedos, while the bridesmaids wore gold satin dresses with various necklines. The florals, which were arranged by Petal Barn, featured pops of green and white, while Madison’s bouquet was made up of white roses.

“The wedding day was so sweet and our vendors were AMAZING! Overall, the day was practically perfect and we wouldn’t change a single thing!” Madison said. TMT Weddings filmed the day, while Haley Birdsey photographed the couple’s special day!

The Dress

Madison visited the boutique in July of 2022 with her mom. She and our boutique manager, Rachel, have been friends since their freshman year of college, and Rachel was honored to help her find the dress!

Madison came to Fabulous Frocks looking for a lace gown with a low back and sleeves. “As a little girl I grew up loving Princess Kate Middleton’s wedding dress and Bella Swan’s from Twilight and wanted to combine the two to have the open back and lace sleeves,” Madison shared. Rachel helped me pick out the perfect one and I LOVE IT! I will forever be playing dress up in my wedding dress!”

Madison chose an A-line gown by Sincerity Bridal. It featured long sleeves with Chantilly lace, a keyhole back, and a tulle skirt.

When recalling her experience at the boutique, Madison talked about the nerves she had coming into her appointment. “I know many girls talk about having that feeling once they find ‘the one’ and I was nervous that I would be too indecisive to pick one out.” Madison shared that she liked all of the gowns that she tried on, but she kept thinking about her favorite.

“I tried it on again after looking at some others and got teary eyed when I looked in the mirror and pictured my wedding day with the dress. That’s when I had the gut feeling that this was the one for me!”

The Wedding

Madison and Jonathan had their ceremony in the open air pavilion at the venue, and the reception was hosted in the barn. Salty Sisters provided the appetizers during cocktail hour, which was hosted in the venue’s veranda. A photo booth and greenery wall, provided by the venue, offered guests a photo opportunity in this space, as well!

For dinner, Moe’s offered a taco bar! It featured chips and queso, beef and chicken, and multiple taco toppings. Sweet Confections by Karen provided the wedding cake, and Krispy Kreme donuts were available for guests on the donut wall!

Madison and Jonathan danced their first dance to Kacey Musgraves’ rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” This was followed by the father-daughter and mother-son dance. During their dance, Madison and her dad did a surprise mash up of Taylor Swift songs! “We had so much fun with that!” she reminisced. Once the dance floor opened, a surprise dance-off between the bridesmaids and groomsmen occurred. “It was so fun,” she said. Madison changed into a sparkly reception dress for the end of the night and the couple’s exit.

When reflecting on her favorite part of the wedding, Madison shared that she loved being surrounded by all of she and Jonathan’s loved ones. ” It’s such a special feeling to be surrounded by all your loved ones at a party celebrating you and your spouse, the love you both share, and the gift of marriage!”

The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas. They stayed at the Atlantis resort and enjoyed time at the beach. “We had so much fun just being together, and we did get the chance to swim with dolphins, which was super sweet!”

Advice to Future Brides

Madison’s best piece of advice for brides to be is to remember that the day is about you and your spouse. “During the engagement period, I had so many people ask us what we were doing for our wedding and then make a negative comment about it once I shared our plans or ideas. Whether it was about the number of people in our wedding party, having tacos for our dinner, or doing a dress change -someone would usually share their opinion about it and would forget that it’s about what makes my husband and I happy!”

Madison encourages brides to make the day about what you and your spouse want. “The wedding day should reflect what you and your partner want out of it and I fully support that! Live in the moment, enjoy the day, and have fun!”

We were honored to be a part of Madison and Jonathan’s beautiful wedding day. “Overall, it was such a sweet day full of memories we’ll cherish forever! All the glory to God for the gift of marriage!” she exclaimed. Congratulations, Madison and Jonathan!
