Hi Brides! Today we are excited to share the details of Fab Frocks Bride Karson’s October wedding!

The Details

Karson and Jake were married at Grace Valley Farm on Friday, October 13th! “It was the perfect weather,” she recalled. “It called for rain up until the wedding. It misted briefly at the reception but no storms.”

Tessa with George Street Photo and Video captured the day on film. Leanna Davis styled Karson’s hair, while Destinei Martin Beauty did the makeup.

Looking back on the day, Karson described her October wedding as classic, relaxed, and unforgettable. “Our venue was was absolutely stunning,” she said. “It was the perfect day! Nothing went wrong.. that I know of at least!”

The Dress

Karson came to Fabulous Frocks in October of 2022 with family and friends. She shared that going into shopping, she was not certain on what she was looking for in a dress. “I was just hoping something would pop out to me.”

She came to our boutique after visiting a couple other shops that weekend. “Fabulous Frocks was the last place I had scheduled an appointment for that weekend, and I was so defeated that I almost called and canceled my appointment,” she shared.

She came into the appointment thinking that she wanted a fit to flare with a bit of lace for her October wedding. However, she spotted an A-line on the rack that she wanted to try, as well. She loved it!

“After I had tried on MY dress, I remember I kept looking at it while trying on other dresses and thinking how beautiful and different it was,” she recalled. “I put it back on and just remember being so happy in it AND COMFORTABLE!!!”

Karson said yes to Bex by Wtoo. She paired the gown with a pearl belt from Lis Simon and a beaded fingertip length veil from Sara Gabriel.

Advice for Future Brides

When considering advice for future brides, Karson advises to bring a small group of loved ones with you to dress shop. “It’s a blast but can be overwhelming,” she said. “Having a good support system with you is everything.”

In regards to the wedding day, she says to have fun and enjoy the day! “Your wedding day is truly just about celebrating you and your life partner’s promise to each other,” she said. “It goes by SO FAST — just have fun and enjoy it!”

The Wedding

When reflecting on the October wedding, Karson shared that her favorite parts of the day were getting to wear her dress (of course!), and seeing Jake when she walked down the aisle.

“My husband and I didn’t do a first look and we saw each other first the first time as I walked down the aisle,” she recalled. “That was so special, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

The October wedding reception included glow sticks for dancing, as well as bundtinis for dessert, which Karson shared were a big hit with the guests. Rather than a traditional guest book, the couple opted for a quilt! Wedding guests signed pieces of fabric to be made into a keepsake quilt for the couple!

The couple is planning to go on their honeymoon to Bermuda for their first anniversary! “They have a pink sand beach that we are so excited to see!”
