Happy Friday! We can’t wait to share another love story this week! Our real bride, Haley, and her new husband, Gage, tied the knot in March! Haley and Gage met at Kansas State because they were both in marching band! Haley was a baton twirler and Gage was on the drum line. They were friends for about two years before they started dating! We asked Haley what her favorite memory with Gage was, “My favorite memory with my fiancé was the day after we got engaged, when we realized, “holy cow, this is actually happening!” It was all so exciting and we started planning the wedding immediately because we were so giddy.”
Haley and Gage became husband and wife on March 27th, 2021! Their wedding was modern rustic, with a very laid back vibe! They had a taco bar with margaritas because they wanted their wedding to reflect their fun personalities! Haley and Gage wanted their guests to feel like they could be themselves and have a good time!
We asked Haley what her favorite memory from her wedding day was, “My favorite memory from the day was when the doors opened and my husband saw me in my dress for the first time. We chose to not do a first look, so this moment was super special for both of us.”
Haley wore a breathtaking mermaid Zavana gown that was fully beaded with a plunging neckline and sheer back! We asked Haley how she knew she found her dream dress, “I tried on about 7 dresses at Fabulous Frocks, and my dress was the last one I️ tried on. When I saw myself in it, I got tears in my eyes because it looked and felt so perfect, and so ‘me’! I didn’t want to take it off! When I️ saw myself in my wedding dress it made it all feel so real.”
“My advice for future brides is to plan your wedding based on how YOU want it to go, and not how you think other people want it to be. If you want a small, intimate wedding, don’t feel guilty about keeping your guest count small! The day goes by so fast that you’ll forget a lot of it, so don’t sweat small details. I️ decided on 3 things I️ was willing to splurge on— my dress, my florist, and my photographer— and I️ let the rest fall into place. Every single vendor we worked with was phenomenal and I️ am so thankful for all of them making our wedding perfect!”
“Instead of doing a first look, we did a first talk. We stood around the corner from each other and exchanged some sentimental gifts right before the ceremony. It was so hard for him to be able to hold my hand but not see me. It made the big reveal even more exciting!”
