Happy Thursday! We are rounding out 2022 with another Real Bride Story – special customization edition! Fab Frocks Bride, KyLee, customized the dress of her dreams to marry the man of her dreams, Aaron. Read more about how her vision came to life below!

Okay but first, let’s talk about the beautiful couple. KyLee and Aaron met on a boat in the summer of 2019. “He is a literal angel and I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else!” How cute is that? We’re melting over here!

Our Real Bride’s Vision

KyLee wore a lace fit to flare gown by Moonlight Bridal that was truly made for her. No really, it was! KyLee came in for her appointment looking for a dress that was different than anything she’d ever seen. Her and Aaron were getting married on her family’s land, and she wanted something unique that completed her boho chic vision.

When we spoke before her appointment, she mentioned that she was looking for something fitted that had a unique lace pattern. KyLee wanted her dress to have a little bit of sparkle, an open back, and a plunge neckline. Her other request was detachable sleeves so that she could switch up her look. As a stylist, I was so excited for her to come in because I knew we were going to get creative and create a truly unique look that was all KyLee!

Finding Her Frock

When KyLee tried her dress on, it was immediate love! “I felt exactly like a bride as soon as I put on the wedding dress of my dreams!” We had a lot of fun talking through exactly what customizations would make this dress fit her vision – everything from removing the off the shoulder straps, to making sure the flare at the bottom looked exactly how she wanted. When we were talking through her options for detachable sleeves, we tried on various sample sleeve styles so that she could see what she liked or didn’t like. Once we nailed down how she wanted the sleeves to look, we looked at each layer of fabric on her dress to determine which lace she wanted to use to make her sleeves in alterations. Once her vision had come to life, it was as simple as ordering additional fabric along with her dress! KyLee worked with her seamstress to create the perfect sleeves out of the extra fabric that was ordered, and they turned out perfect!

The Perfect Dress for a Perfect Day

Now that KyLee had the perfect dress, it was only right that she had the perfect day. “My wedding day was the most PERFECT day in the world and if I could do it again every year I would because it came and went too fast!!”
