Happy Friday, brides! We hope everyone had the best Thanksgiving! We are so excited to share our real bride for this week, Whittney! Whittney and her husband Lyle were married this summer in a gorgeous and elegant ceremony! She likes to jokingly say she and Lyle met the old fashioned way and swiped RIGHT into love in 2015!
Whittney told us about planning a wedding in 2020, “I dove into planning as soon as I got engaged in July, 2019. Enter 2020 and a global pandemic… I will never forget planning a wedding in 2020. I think all 2020 brides AND vendors have a sort of comradery now. The day I was supposed to drop my wedding invitations off in the mail was the day that KC announced the Stay at home order. It was such a bummer. We ended up postponing our May 2020 wedding to August. Then with only a MONTH to go, we had to switch venue locations due to COVID-19. It was hectic. However, looking back, I think everything happens for a reason! We would never have discovered the gorgeous new venue Eagle Bluff Ranch!”
“Lyle and I got married in a private ceremony on a Friday in our catholic church. We had a short ‘celebration ceremony’ the next day with a reception to follow at Eagle Bluff Ranch. We wanted to share the day with our friends even though they couldn’t be in the church with us for our official ceremony. It was perfect.”
“Everyone always tells future brides how long a wedding day is. I remember feeling excited and anxious right when we got to the venue. There was all the decorating to be done, hair, makeup, pictures…so much to do before we were going to get to the dance party part of the night! It all seemed a bit overwhelming. I remember as soon as they told me Lyle and the guys had arrived at the venue, I felt peaceful. I knew soon I was going to see my husband and I just felt so lucky that I was going to be his forever and the day we had been waiting for was finally here. The rest is just details. And I knew my details were in great hands with the wonderful vendors I chose!”
“I saw MY dress on Fab Frock’s Instagram page. I reached out and asked if I could try it on for my appointment. Angela responded very quickly and said that it would be there and that she had a good feeling I would love it. She was right! They are so personable at FabFrocks. It’s like if one of your good friends ran a bridal store.”
We always love when we hear from a real bride and how they tie in sentimental details into their wedding, and Whittney used family pearls on her day! “The pearls I wore on my wedding day are my mother’s! My dad gave them to her as a gift the day my brother got married. A few months later, my sister wore them on her wedding day. Then I wore them on mine! We were all three married within a year from each other. My family had 3 weddings in 12 months!”
