Happy December! The chillier weather sure has us dreaming of the warmth and sunshine! With that in mind, reflect with us on Fab Frocks Bride Olivia’s dreamy summer wedding!” She shared all the beautiful details with us, and we are happy to share with you!

The Details of the Day

Olivia and her husband Zach wed at Cedars of Lebanon State Park in July. “We loved that it was affordable, close to home, and had lots of flexibility regarding indoor and outdoor locations and use of vendors,” Olivia shared.

Jude Reyes provided hair and makeup services, while Chris and Amber of White Lotus Productions were the DJs for the event. “They made sure to set the vibe for the ceremony and reception and curated an incredible playlist for exactly what we wanted!”

Brittany Rain Photography photographed the couple’s special day. “She captured so many beautiful moments for us to look back on for years to come,” praised Olivia. “She is personable, easygoing & really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.”

Meanwhile, the couple’s family and friends helped with many of the aspects of the day! Olivia’s mother-in-law made her bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid’s bouquets, and the men’s boutonnières!

The Wedding Dress

Olivia came to Fabulous Frocks to find her dress last spring. When she scheduled her appointment, she shared that she knew even before she was engaged that she wanted to be a Fab Frocks Bride! She was initially looking for a sleek off the shoulder mermaid gown. “I tried on several in the style I thought I wanted and none of them really wowed me,” Olivia shared. “I couldn’t put my finger on why I wasn’t in love with the dress I thought I wanted for so many years.”

We love a good wild card here at Fab Frocks! That’s exactly what we showed Olivia when she wasn’t loving the gowns within her original vision. We pulled a fitted gown featuring a beaded lace bodice and a crepe skirt. Recalling the moment she tried it on, Olivia said, “I figured I’d try it out just to see, and I was IN LOVE immediately!!!” It was perfect for her dreamy summer wedding!

Olivia said yes to the wild card dress, a Sincerity Bridal gown with thin lace straps and a lace train. “It would’ve never crossed my mind to try on but I’m so glad Fabulous Frocks knew better than me!” she said.

The Wedding

Olivia and Zach hosted their dreamy summer wedding indoors. Therefore, they didn’t have to worry about the weather or the heat of the Tennessee summer. “We were worried about rain or humidity, but we were so fortunate to have a partially cloudy day with the highest temp reaching 84°! It was gorgeous!” Olivia shared.

With a Twist Bartending provided drinks for the day, while Publix catered the meal. “We had so many guests tell us how amazing their chicken wings are! They were so surprised when we told them it was from Publix!” said Olivia. “We learned through our planning process that you can have an incredible and beautiful wedding without spending a ton of money. Nobody will know or care if you spent $10 or $1000 on your tablecloths.”

Family friends handled the wedding cake, while the groomsmen and other family members helped set up the ceremony and reception. “We are so thankful for all our friends and family who contributed their time and money to helping us put together our special day,” said Olivia. “It truly could not have been done without them.”

The couple honeymooned in Orlando, Florida! “We were blessed with a family member letting us stay at their condo in Orlando free of charge for an entire week!” Olivia said. “We got to go to Disney World (my husband had never been & I hadn’t been in 10 years!) and explore Cocoa Beach. It was fun, romantic & relaxing!”

Advice to Future Brides

Olivia encourages brides-to-be to do what makes you and your spouse happy.

“So many people are going to throw their opinions or ideas at you, and a lot of those can be helpful, but don’t let anyone sway your own desires,” she said. “It’s your wedding, after all, and you don’t want to look back with regret because you did something someone else wanted you to do. Do what is important to you as a couple & what makes y’all happy. Easier said than done, but you’ll be so glad you did!”

“Don’t let the stress or financial aspect of wedding planning cause you to lose sight of what the end goal is,” she added. “It’s a union of your love and commitment to each other for the rest of your lives!!”
